Baptism Preparation for Children

A Baptism is a joyous time for families as it is the first Sacrament of initiation into the family of God.  We also want you to fully understand the commitment you are making when deciding to baptize your children in the Catholic Faith.  We ask that you attend one class at the church as a way to prepare for your child's baptism.  We will discuss the theology of the Sacrament and the aspect of raising your child in the Catholic Faith.  It is strongly encouraged to attend the class prior to choosing Godparents.

Classes are held about every six weeks in the evenings at 7 p.m. in the parish office basement.  Baptisms are usually celebrated on Sundays after the 11:00am Mass.  Dates can be scheduled once you have attended the class.

Please call the parish office to register for the class and to schedule the baptism.  Children in grade two through teens in high school who seek baptism need to attend special classes to prepare for the reception of the Sacrament.
