Holy Matrimony Preparation

Entering into the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony is a joyous time for you and for your family.  At St. Charles, we require that couples intending to marry make arrangements with their priest at least six months prior to the proposed date of marriage.  Contact the parish office to ensure that the wedding date being requested is available and then set up an appointment with one of our priests.

The preparation process begins with that initial meeting with the priest.  Next, there are 3 group sessions involving:

  1. The Theology of the Body
  2. Family Planning
  3. The Faith in the Home

There are eight additional private Creighton Model (NFP) courses offered for you to attend as a couple.  Additionally, you will be assigned a mentor couple with whom you will meet 3 times.  A month or two before the wedding, the priest will meet with you to talk about the liturgy and any of the final preparations.  You may contact the program coordinator at stcadulted@scbfw.org or 260.969.4026 if you have further questions.
