Into the Desert: Spring Retreat 2024

Navigating suffering and complex emotions is challenging when living in a world that tells us to avoid pain and where loneliness is at an all-time high. Why do we suffer? Why me? How do I stop feeling this way? Why does God feel far away?

At our spring retreat, we will explore these kinds of questions. We will learn about why we suffer, spiritual highs and lows, navigating loneliness, dependency on God, and choosing joy and gratitude in the face of suffering.

General Information

High school teens in grades 9-12 are invited to a retreat at St. Felix Catholic Center in Huntington, IN on March 22-24, 2024. We are excited to announce that this retreat will be entirely student-led! A team of high school students has done all the planning and will be leading the entire retreat.

The retreat will begin at St. Felix Catholic Center in Huntington on Friday, March 22nd at 7:00 pm (check-in from 6:30-7:00pm). Participants are responsible for their own transportation. The retreat will end at 11:30am on Sunday, March 24th.

Registration

All of our registration will be done through an online platform called Jotform. We have done our best to streamline the process and make it a better signing experience for you, so it will look a little bit different than before.

To pay the $80 registration fee, please visit stcharlesfortwayne.org/retreat-payment. Payment options and financial assistance information can be found there.

NOTE: The deadline to register is Monday, March 4. Late registrations will be accepted, but you will not be guaranteed a t-shirt if you register after the deadline.

* NOTE REGARDING ST. FELIX WAIVERS!! PLEASE READ!! *
On the last page of the registration form, there will be a waiver for St. Felix embedded into the page. You MUST click on it and fill it out. After you submit the St. Felix waiver, you STILL need to scroll to the bottom of the page and provide a final signature. Please do not skip the St. Felix waiver, and please do not close out of your tab before providing a final signature and hitting the BLUE "Submit" button.
