A Heart for the Eucharist: Jubilee Pilgrimage
Event Information
Join us on Wednesday, June 17 from 7-8:30pm at the St. Francis Chapel (2701 Spring St) for a special jubilee event! All are welcome to attend! We will hear a talk from author and St. Charles parishioner Madeline Nugent followed by Adoration and Confession with music led by some of our young people. A plenary indulgence can be gained by participating and meeting the requirements. The requirements can be found below.
Signing up is not required, but the first 10 households to sign up will receive a free copy of Madeline’s book, Francesco: A Story of Saint Francis of Assisi. To sign up, click here.
How to Gain a Plenary Indulgence
- Visit any Franciscan church or place of worship dedicated to Saint Francis or connected to him
- Spend time in meditation and prayer, focusing on the example of St. Francis, his love for all and his zeal for peace among people
- Receive Holy Communion (your Sunday Mass before or after this event counts!)
- Pray the following (we will do this together):
- Our Father
- Nicene Creed
- Invocations to the Blessed Virgin Mary, St Francis of Assisi, St Clare and saints of the Franciscan Family
- Intentions of Pope Leo XIV
- Participate in sacramental confession within 20 days before or after the event
- Detach yourself from all sin, even venial
